My name is Janene Taylor and I specialise in Classical Homeopathy. I have two homeopathic practices: Here at Natural Health Centre and in Nelson. Stories abound about the marvellous responses people have had in turning their health around through using Homeopathy, even after years of putting up with chronic pain and all kinds of ailments, mental, emotional and physical. I was introduced to homeopathy 13 years ago by a classical homeopath who said homeopathy could help my skin problem naturally—with a remedy chosen specifically for me as a whole person. The homeopath assured me that the aim of Homeopathy is to truly shift a state of illness along, to eradicate it and to make us completely well. He said it was safe, rapid and its effects are powerful. I was intrigued... After some time I invested in a consultation and was delighted to experience a complete and thorough assessment of my entire state of health. This had never happened to me before – no-one had ever been interested enough in what was really going on for me until that day. The homeopath then prescribed a painless prescription of a few drops of a remedy on my tongue and though he advised that it may take a few months, what followed was the rapid and complete healing of my skin problem within a few weeks...This came after years of trying many things through diet and lotions. My skin was clear and I also felt balanced on every level. I naturally desired healthy food and exercise and my general emotional state improved. I felt great! Best of all, my skin problem never returned. I have been interested in Natural Health since late teens and have a Diploma in Natural Healing (1997) and Diploma in Classical Homeopathy (2003). I marvel at the complexity and delicate balance of health of a human being and how we respond to situations, inter-relate with others and move within our environment. I believe that through a practitioner’s correct understanding about what is health, what is disease and knowledge of the laws (yes, laws) of healing, a truly balanced state of health can be aimed for. This I believe with 100% conviction and I know that Homeopathy is a fantastic vehicle toward helping achieve such an optimum state of health. Of course, if a person’s health is being compromised by continued use of large doses of heavy medication over a long period of time; maintained exposure to toxic substances; irreparable tissue/organ damage or similar immovable pathology, the likeliness of such a positive outcome is reduced. Homeopathic palliative care is a valuable option in this case. It is a healthy sign when a person takes charge of his/her own health-care and I support a person’s choice to receive care through whatever avenues suit each individual. I recommend other health modalities on a regular basis, including GP diagnosis, psychotherapy, physical therapies and nutritional advice. Therapies |
