Alexander Technique
Frederick Matthias Alexander (1869-1955) discovered we live in almost complete ignorance of the way we use our body. Stress and anxiety tighten our muscles unnecessarily and interfere with our natural functioning. We unconsciously misuse ourselves, generating habitual patterns which may adversely affect our well being.
Ayurvedic Massage
A nourishing treatment designed for your specific constitution. Provides deep relaxation, rejuvenation and relief from stress. Utilises ancient Indian healing techniques. Warm sesame oil and massage nourishes the mind, body and soul.
Bowen Therapy
Bowen therapy is a gentle remedial therapy appropriate for everyone. Gentle rolling movements are made with fingers or thumbs at specific places on your body, over muscles, tendons or joints. The movements can be done through your clothing.
Craniosacral Therapy
This gentle modality is based on the flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) around the brain, the spinal cord and sacrum. (The CSF is the fluid taken in a lumbar punch.) Its vital purpose is to carry nutrients around our body, and to carry impurities out of our body.
This tide-like ebb and flow at the core of the body creates a pulse producing minute movements of the bones and tissues of the cranium (the head) and sacrum.
Very delicate manipulative techniques are used to release compression and restrictions in the free flow of CSF.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage is a wonderful way to experience massage with a unique connection to nature. It involves the application of waterheated stones of varying sizes.
Indian Head Massage (Champissage)
Indian Champissage, also known as Indian Head Massage, can bring immediate relief to stressed and tensed areas of the body.
