Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is a wonderful way to experience massage with a unique connection to nature. It involves the application of waterheated stones of varying sizes.

The stones used are volcanic basalt that formed by the rapid cooling of lava on the earths surface. The stones are heated in water to a comfortable temperature and are either placed on various key positions on the body, or used in the palm of the therapist hands while applying various massage techniques.

The stones can either move deeply into the muscle tissue or glide on the surface of the body depending on the pressure you prefer. The direct heat helps relax the muscles, relieve pain and boost the healing process. They also assist in increasing circulation, toxin elimination and balancing the body's energy.
